Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to lead our store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily store activities, manage a diverse team, and drive sales performance. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the retail environment, maintaining high standards of merchandising, and fostering a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the retail team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
Manage day-to-day store operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and administrative tasks
Develop and implement sales strategies to maximise revenue and optimise store performance
Train, motivate, and evaluate staff to ensure high levels of engagement and productivity
Oversee inventory control, ordering, and stock replenishment processes
Maintain excellent phone etiquette when dealing with customers, suppliers, and team members
Organise staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours
Monitor store compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
Foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty

Skills

Proven management experience of at least three years within retail environments with supervising or team management responsibilities
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
Sound organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Proficient in merchandising techniques to enhance product presentation and optimise sales opportunities
Good time management skills to ensure all responsibilities are completed within deadlines
Administrative experience related to stock control, reporting, and general store documentation
Exceptional organisational skills coupled with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a professional demeanour
