Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Older Peoples Project Coordinator to lead and manage initiatives aimed at enhancing the wellbeing and social inclusion of older adults within the community. This role involves overseeing programme delivery, engaging with stakeholders, and promoting activities through various channels. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for public health and community development. This is a paid position suitable for individuals committed to making a positive impact on older people's lives.

Duties

Develop, plan, and coordinate programmes tailored to the needs of older adults, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
Supervise staff and volunteers involved in project delivery, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of service.
Manage project budgets, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes to ensure objectives are met effectively.
Lead on marketing activities, including social media management, to promote programmes and increase community participation.
Organise fundraising events and develop partnerships with local organisations to secure resources and support.
Oversee administrative tasks such as reporting, record-keeping, and compliance with organisational policies.
Facilitate workshops or educational sessions related to health, wellbeing, or social activities for older people.
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including local authorities, healthcare providers, and community groups.

Skills

Proven supervising experience in community projects or similar settings.
Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration.
Experience in marketing and social media management to effectively promote programmes.
Fundraising expertise to develop sustainable financial support for initiatives.
Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail in reporting and record keeping.
Knowledge of public health principles relevant to ageing populations.
Teaching or facilitation experience is desirable for delivering engaging sessions.

Pay: £12,343.00 per year
