Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced chef to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will possess strong food production skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary expertise within a vibrant hospitality environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking fried foods to the highest standards, ensuring food safety and consistency throughout service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled and fried dishes along with some cooker work in accordance with company recipes and standards
Work well with other kitchen staff in a healthy and organised manner.
Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and quality control
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and other food items as required
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment
Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a takeaway or restaurant environment
Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures in a professional kitchen setting
Experience with food production processes, particularly grill and frying techniques, is preferred
Knowledge of culinary practices related to hospitality, serving, and restaurant operations
Previous experience in a supervisory capacity or managing a team will be considered an advantage
