Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of deli products while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent time management skills, and the ability to upsell products effectively.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional products.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following all health and safety guidelines.
Manage inventory levels, ensuring that products are fresh and well-stocked.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently when required.

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation or a restaurant environment is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience in a kitchen or culinary setting is advantageous.
Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
