Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional service to our guests, assisting with food and beverage preparation, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and experience in food service environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary and customer service skills within a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established standards
Assist with food presentation and ensure quality control during service
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, including cooking and plating
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and delivering prompt service
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service equipment
Supervise junior team members when required, providing guidance and support
Manage stock levels, assist with inventory checks, and restock supplies as needed
Uphold high standards of hospitality by creating a welcoming environment for guests

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous supervising or team management experience within a hospitality setting
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Good communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
Experience in culinary roles such as barista work or food production is advantageous
