Full job description

We have a great opportunity for an Evening Event and Booking Receptionist to join our award-winning venue in Derbyshire.

The successful applicant will answer telephone calls, respond to emails, and deal with face to face customer enquiries for all of our departments, including our events office, and our restaurants.

This person will be focused on delivering a consistent and detailed service offering exceptional customer service at all times.

Hours

20 Hours per week

Monday - Friday 4.00pm - 8.00pm

Additional hours and weekend work maybe required for holiday cover.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Take reservations, deposits and payments for our restaurants and social events.

· Sell gift vouchers over the telephone and in person.

· Respond to email enquiries.

· Chase outstanding payments and pre orders for our restaurants and social events.

· Administrative tasks including sending deposit confirmation letters, printing welcome signs and preparing restaurant special menus.

· Follow up all wedding, event and conference enquiries in a timely, confident and professional manner.

· Conduct viewing show rounds and appointments, displaying a clear and comprehensive knowledge of the venue, menus, packages and offers.

· Support and guide the customers with all aspects of their venue planning, including the use of space, room layout, food and drink requirements.

· Collate all event/function sheets, distributing these weekly, with any updates as required, to the operational team.

Qualifications and Skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently.

· Have strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
