Full job description

Position:

Principal duties:

Picking and packing orders to a high standard.
Loading and unloading vehicles in a safe manner.
Recording information on pick sheets.
Liaising and communicating with team members effectively.
Identifying issues within the area and feeding back to Team Leader/ Manager.
Giving clear information on issues.
Keeping areas clean and tidy.
Ensure that effective implementation of the company Health & Safety policy is maintained and that all legislation pertaining to safety, COSHH and environmental rulings are complied with.
Ensure risk assessments and safe operating procedures are adhered to at all times.
Undertake designated tasks as allocated by Managers.

Experience or skills that would be desirable:

Previous experience in a warehouse role (Preferred)
Effective organisational and time management skills (Preferred)
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely: (Preferred)
Work under own initiative and be a good team player (Preferred)

Requirements:

Required skills and responsibilities:

Counterbalance FLT licence
Warehouse experience
Understanding of housekeeping requirements
Excellent information sharing skills
Organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure
Effective communication skills
Documentation skills
Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements with a strong safety focus.
Ability to follow instruction
