Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Domestic Assistant to join our team on nights, committed to maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by providing exceptional cleaning and support services. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a comfortable space for residents, staff, and visitors alike. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality, management, and customer service while contributing to a supportive community environment.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and hallways using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
Manage laundry services by washing, drying, folding, and organising linens and clothing items efficiently.
Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance needs promptly.
Assist with light care support tasks such as lounge monitoring and providing drinks through the night.
Communicate effectively with residents and team members to address cleaning schedules or special requests with professionalism.
Follow health and safety guidelines rigorously to ensure a hygienic environment for all occupants.
Support management in organising daily operations and contribute ideas for improving cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hospitality, cleaning services, or related roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with residents and team members, as well as completing documentation.
Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the day.
Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards residents and visitors.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
