Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and exceptional service. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensure food safety standards are upheld. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their catering and culinary skills within a dynamic environment. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and following recipes accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
Help with food safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Support the team during busy periods by performing various tasks as directed by the head chef or supervisor.

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
Basic knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and kitchen safety practices.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced setting.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
