Experienced Groundworker | PKB Civils | Nationwide

We'll cut to it — PKB Civils are busy, winning work, and need good groundworkers.

Not labourers. Not people finding their feet. We need 10 years plus in the game, people who can turn up, read the job, and get on with it without someone standing over them.

What you’ll be doing

Working across a range of civil engineering and groundworks projects nationwide. Depending on your strengths, you’ll be getting stuck into:

Concrete breakout, subbase prep, pouring and finishing slabs
Shuttering and formwork for slabs and structures
Steel fixing
Setting and checking levels with a rotating laser
Drainage — shallow and deep, up to and over 2m
Ducting installation
Kerbing, edgings, flagging and tarmac works
CAT scanning and working safely around live services
Operating excavators, dumpers and rollers

Nobody does all of it. We build our teams around what you're best at — so be upfront about where you're strong and we'll put you where you add the most value.

What we need from you

10 years minimum in groundworks — no exceptions
Self-sufficient and reliable
7.30am site start — yard meet is earlier depending on location
Willing to work nationwide and stay away when needed
Valid CSCS card
Full driving licence preferred
CIS or PAYE — either works, we’ll find the right setup

PKB operators work on the ground when needed. No cab-only roles. If you’re happy to do both, we want to hear from you.
