Full job description

Protyre Autocare is looking for an enthusiastic Mechanic/Service Technician to join our growing team. We are a fast-growing national automotive company offering superb training and development opportunities.

As a Mechanic/Service Technician you are responsible for providing exceptional vehicle servicing and repairs by using latest diagnostic technology and techniques to identify vehicle issues.

Location: Protyre Macclesfield, new home for Selecta Tyre
Salary: 30-34K, 3.6K+ bonus to be earned
Must have: Full Clean UK Driving Licence, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application) and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry

About the role:

Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard
Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments
Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products
Carrying out MOT repairs
Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process
Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality
Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs
Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations

About you:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry
Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles
The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Experience with diagnostic equipment
Great customer service skills
Full UK Driving Licence
