Full job description

We are looking for an **accurate, organised and dependable Accounts & Payroll Administrator** to join our team.

This is a varied role providing day-to-day support across **sales ledger, payroll preparation, employee administration and business reporting**. You will help ensure sales invoices and credit notes are raised and processed accurately and on time, records remain up to date, and colleagues and customers receive a professional and responsive service.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working with **Sage and Excel**, handling confidential information and balancing routine deadlines with ad hoc requests. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with detail, takes ownership of their responsibilities and can identify and resolve discrepancies before they become problems.

Key Responsibilities

* Raise sales ledger invoices and credit notes using Sage and Excel.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date price lists to ensure sales invoices are correct.

* Process and maintain sales ledger information accurately.

* Monitor daily clocking and timekeeping exceptions and make necessary corrections.

* Prepare weekly wages spreadsheets for payroll processing.

* Keep holiday records up to date and maintain accurate employee holiday information.

* Handle confidential employee and business information appropriately.

* Complete new-starter administration and maintain accurate employee records.

* Assist with cost analysis and management information reporting.

* Provide general accounts and payroll administration support as required.

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

* Previous experience in an accounts and/or payroll administration role.

* Excellent numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail.

* Experience using **Sage and Excel**.

* Clear and professional communication skills.

* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* A reliable, organised and proactive approach to work.

* The ability to manage deadlines and respond effectively to ad hoc requests.
