Contract Manager

Location: Eccles, Greater Manchester / Rotherham, South Yorkshire (Regional Travel Required)
Salary: £30,000-45,000
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

Dwelling Doctors is seeking an experienced and driven Contract Manager to take lead the delivery of a key social housing contract spanning Greater Manchester, Lancashire, South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing operational performance across a geographically dispersed contract, ensuring exceptional service delivery while building strong client relationships and leading teams across planning, administration and field operations.

We are looking for someone who can see beyond the numbers. The successful candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware and capable of using data and operational insight to drive decision-making, improve performance and deliver exceptional outcomes.

This is a regional role requiring regular travel across the contract area. While primarily based at our Eccles office, the successful candidate will be expected to travel frequently to our Rotherham office and client meetings across the contract area.

Someone who can analyse data, identify trends, understand the root causes of operational challenges and take decisive action to improve efficiency, workflow and service delivery. Equally important is the ability to lead people effectively, creating a culture that balances accountability, engagement and high morale.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Taking full operational ownership of a regional social housing contract.
Supporting mobilisation, service improvements and business growth opportunities across the region.
Leading planning, administration and field-based teams to deliver high levels of service and performance.
Using data, reporting and operational insight to identify trends, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
Managing workflow, scheduling, resource allocation and backlog reduction to ensure efficient contract delivery.
Building strong relationships with clients and acting as the senior operational point of contact.
Providing meaningful operational reporting, forecasting and performance analysis to the Senior Management Team.
Supporting mobilisation, service improvements and business growth opportunities across the region.

About You

You will have experience in an Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Contract Manager or similar leadership role and be comfortable managing multiple functions within a fast-paced operational environment.

You will be a strong communicator who can motivate people, challenge poor performance when required and create a positive culture where teams feel supported, engaged and accountable. You will be naturally analytical, confident working with operational data and able to translate information into practical actions that improve business performance. A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel regularly across Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

Experience within social housing, property services, repairs and maintenance, facilities management or construction would be advantageous, as would experience working with local authority contracts, and client portals such as Aareon, TotalMobile and NEC Housing.
