About the Role

We are looking for experienced Support Workers to join a network of leading care providers in Lincoln and surrounding areas on an ongoing agency schedule. In this rewarding role, you will support individuals with a range of needs, helping them to live independently, safely, and with dignity. You will play a key part in promoting choice, inclusion, and wellbeing while providing person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs.

Your responsibilities will include

Supporting individuals with daily living tasks and routines
Assisting with personal care where required
Supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and behaviours that may challenge
Managing challenging behaviours in a calm, safe, and professional manner
Promoting independence and encouraging service users to achieve personal goals
Supporting individuals in the community, including appointments and social activities
Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks
Providing emotional support and companionship
Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns
Supporting individuals with medication where trained and required
Following care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments
Ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive environment
Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and other support staff
Adhering to safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality policies

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience in a support work or care setting
Must be willing to work with children!
Must be able to drive!
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, complex needs, or behaviours that may challenge
Confidence in managing challenging behaviour in a safe and professional manner
A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible approach, sensitive to the needs of service users
Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
Medication training is beneficial but not essential
PMVA/MAPA training is beneficial but not essential
A valid UK driving licence is preferred as you may be expected to travel between different care clients and community settings
