Full job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Accounts and Payroll Assistant to join our small, friendly and professional team. The role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and advancement within our firm.

Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and maintain financial records using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
- Prepare year-end financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for clients in accordance with tax regulations
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with filing deadlines
- Assist with payroll and provide cover during busy times
- Complete Companies House filings

Requirements:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience of using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage would be an advantage, but not essential
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

We offer a competitive salary and a bonus package for this full-time position.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
