Summary

The Governors of Saint Marys RC Primary School are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate TA3 to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a mixed Year 3 and 4 classroom and will cover one lunch duty per week (12-1pm).

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (Level 3) who:

Has knowledge and experience of the Key Stage 2 Curriculum
Shows a keen interest in inclusion

Has imagination and creativity
Is adaptable and has initiative
Provides a safe and secure environment for our children

Has very high expectations of all and will inspire, challenge and encourage children to achieve the best

Essential Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
Experience of working with children in KS2
Commitment to undertake inservice development
Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people

Desirable Qualifications

First Aid

Essential Experience

Ability to support and enhance children's learning in a KS2 classroom
Ability to relate well to children and to parents/carers
Ability to work as part of a team
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to supervise and assist pupils
Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of Special Educational Needs
Experience of supporting the ethos and mission statement in a Catholic school
