Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Cleaner / Kitchen Porter & Food Prep to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas while supporting food preparation activities. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for our guests, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel setting.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and dining areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes under supervision
Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely delivery of food items
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently while adhering to sanitation protocols
Restock supplies and organize storage areas to facilitate smooth kitchen operations
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to deliver excellent service in a busy environment

Experience

Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures
Familiarity with cleaning protocols within a commercial kitchen environment
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
Enthusiasm for learning culinary skills and supporting kitchen operations
