Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, EXPERIENCED and professional Server to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food, prepare and serve beverages, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred, along with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
Serve food and drinks promptly ( cocktails and wine )while maintaining presentation standards.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of tables before and after service.
Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change.
Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as required, adhering to food safety standards.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer guest questions confidently.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Uphold health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques.
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
Good communication skills with an emphasis on guest services.
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes.
Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory.
A friendly demeanour with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
