Job description

Salary: £28.62 - £37.08 per hour

Hours per week: Variable (up to 15 hours)

Weeks per Annum: Various

Working pattern: Variable (day, evenings, and potentially Saturdays)

Location: Oxford City/North West Oxfordshire

Contract type: Fixed term until September 2027

Are you passionate about inspiring others through Pilates? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructor to join our team and support learners in achieving their full potential.

Essential Criteria:

Passionate about Pilates and committed to sharing that enthusiasm with learners.
Qualified to degree level (or equivalent).
A Qualified Teacher (or willing to work towards qualification).
Knowledgeable in Safeguarding and Child Protection issues relevant to the role,
Qualified to Level 2 literacy and numeracy (or equivalent).
Experienced in teaching within the curriculum area.
Able to engage diverse learner groups and adapt to their needs.
Equipped with tutorial and pastoral support skills.
Must have access to a car and a full drivers licence.

Desirable Criteria:

Assessor/Verifier qualification.
Experience teaching in a post-16 setting.
Strong links with employers to enhance learner opportunities.

Any successful candidates will be required to complete a structured training pathway, unless they already hold the relevant qualifications. This includes a two-week teacher induction (must be completed within probation), followed by the Award in Education and Training (AET) including Assessor is required, and then the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) apprenticeship. Completion of this structured learning programme is expected within 3 years. Furthermore, there is the option to pursue Qualified Teacher Learning Status (QTLS).
