Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (Apprenticeship) and embark on an exciting journey to develop your pharmacy skills! This paid apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards your pharmacy technician qualification. You will support the pharmacy team in delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring medication safety, and maintaining efficient pharmacy operations. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to start a rewarding career in pharmacy, with comprehensive training and mentorship every step of the way.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacy team with pre-registration processes, including data entry and documentation of prescriptions
Support medication dispensing activities under supervision, ensuring accuracy and safety
Help manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing medicines according to protocols
Provide excellent patient service by answering queries and guiding patients on medication usage when appropriate
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions in compliance with legal standards
Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
Participate in ongoing training sessions to develop your knowledge of pharmacy procedures, medication management, and patient care

Skills

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or related healthcare role is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and maintain meticulous records
Demonstrated commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and professional development
Proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality service
Eligibility Requirements:
✔ Eligible to undertake a UK apprenticeship programme
✔ Must have a valid UK visa with the right to work, or have lived in the UK continuously for a minimum of 3 years
✔ Minimum GCSE in English and Maths
✔ Excellent communication and customer service skills
✔ Reliable, organised, and eager to learn
✔ Able to work effectively as part of a team
