About Steon

Steon is a UK manufacturer of high-quality LED lighting products, supplying commercial, industrial and specialist lighting products across a wide range of sectors.

We pride ourselves on delivering innovative products, exceptional customer service and practical lighting solutions that our customers can rely on.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to play a key role within our sales team.

The Role

You'll become the main point of contact for many of our existing customers, managing internal 'Sales Team' enquiries, sending quotations, following up, and securing Purchase Orders. You’ll also be required to reconnect with historical customer accounts and to prospect new accounts with support from the MD & BDM.

Working closely with our Director’s, BDM, Operations, Lighting design, and Technical teams, you'll manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to receipt of order.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively reconnect with and develop a portfolio of historical, existing and new customer accounts.
Build long-term relationships with electrical contractors, wholesalers and end users.
Contact existing customers to discuss upcoming projects and identify new opportunities.
Take ownership of enquiries, send and pursue quotations to convert into Purchase Orders.
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Steon's range of LED lighting products.
Collaborate with the Directors and BDM to assist in the development of our sales and marketing strategy.
Action customer queries and enquiries quickly and professionally.
Maintain accurate customer records, quotations and pipeline activity using our CRM system Dynamics 365.

About You

We're looking for someone who is hungry for sales, is commercially astute, and is passionate about building prosperous relationships.

You must have:

A minimum of 2 years experience in Account Management, Internal Sales, Technical Sales or Business Development within a similar B2B environment.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A confident and professional manner, both on the phone and in person.
Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to re-engaging with historical and existing customer accounts.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and record keeping.
Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
The ability to manage and track multiple customer enquiries and projects simultaneously.
A positive attitude, self-motivation and an eagerness to learn.

Desirable

Experience within lighting, electrical wholesale, manufacturing, engineering or construction.
Knowledge of commercial or industrial LED lighting products.
Experience using Barbour ABI/Glenigans.
Experience working with contractors, architects, consultants and specification-led projects.
