Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cook at our vibrant coffee shop. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced food environment, providing exceptional service and high-quality beverages. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences and possess a keen interest in food preparation and café operations. This paid position is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other hot and cold drinks in accordance with company standards
Assist with food preparation, including light meal assembly and snack offerings
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including sanitising work surfaces and equipment
Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive experience
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Support team members during busy periods to ensure prompt service

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or a café/restaurant environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness is preferred
Basic cooking skills or culinary experience will be considered an asset
Familiarity with meal preparation and kitchen routines will support successful performance in this role

Pay: From £12.75 per hour
