Fire Door Installer’s Assistant

Location: Wakefield
Salary: Competitive
Job Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Fire Door Installer’s Assistant to join our growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a carpentry or construction background who is looking to gain experience within the fire protection industry and work alongside experienced installers.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting fire door installers on commercial and residential projects
Recording completed works accurately with photographs and reports
Loading/unloading materials and preparing work areas
Supporting with installation and remedial works on fire doors
Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Keeping sites clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
General finishing to and around doorsets
Travelling to sites across the North

Requirements

Previous construction, carpentry, or labouring experience preferred
Right to work UK
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Must be polite, professional, and respectful when dealing with residents and clients
Must have own basic hand tools
Full UK driving licence
Must be willing to travel and stay away when required
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
