Full job description

Porsche Centre Preston has an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to work for one of the world’s most iconic brands, based at their award-winning site on the Docklands.

The state of the art Centre incorporates a 35 car Showroom, 13 bay Workshop, EV Battery Repair Hub, Preparation Centre, two customer handover bays and two direct dialogue bays.

You’ll be working in a state-of-the-art Workshop, earning a competitive salary with generous benefits and with funded training/development.

The Role:

Applicants will have the ability to work within given timescales and be able to tackle all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing, together with:

Perform all work assigned in a timely and economical manner, and to Company and Manufacturer standards
Advise the Workshop Controller if additional work is required on a vehicle and seek their assistance and authority in the rectification of faults
Maintain a high level of competency by undergoing on-site training, attending courses and reading technical bulletins as required
Assist customers with any questions or concerns regarding their vehicle

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, and Saturday 9.00am to 12.30pm on a rota basis.

Skills & Experience:

Applicants must be a qualified Vehicle Technician with a formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent), together with:

Exceptional communication skills
Aptitude for multi-tasking
Strong teamwork skills
An eye for detail
Ability to work under pressure
Quality awareness
Full UK driving licence
