At Back on Track, we believe every young person deserves the chance to feel safe, supported, and inspired to build a brighter future. We provide high-quality residential and semi-independent care for children and young people, offering a warm, family-like environment where they can truly feel at home.

Shifts: 8am to 8pm / 1pm to 8pm / 8pm to 8am

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism.

We also have openings for Support Workers for Day Staff and Night Staff

Our team is made up of dedicated, passionate individuals who bring empathy, patience, and genuine care into everything they do. We don’t just provide a service—we walk alongside young people through their challenges and successes, helping them grow in confidence, independence, and self-belief.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
Supporting them with daily routines such as cooking, appointments, school/college, and activities.
Taking them out for activities
Encouraging independence by helping them develop life skills (budgeting, cooking, self-care).
Being a role model—promoting positive behaviour, respect, and resilience.
Keeping accurate records and working closely with the team to ensure the best possible care.
Creating weekly and monthly reports
Providing mental health support where needed
Attending any appointments with them
Handling challenging situations calmly and with empathy, always keeping safeguarding at the centre of your work.

Skills

Experience working with children is essential
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children and their families.
Proficiency in IT to maintain records and communicate via digital platforms.
Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
Ability to use a CRM system
Ability to work the shifts provided
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children as needed.
