PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure daily pre-use checks are carries out before using any machinery and equipment and report any defects to the Warehouse Shift Managers.
Ensure all goods are loaded and unloaded safely on and off the vehicle.
Receive goods and ensure that they correlate to the accompanying delivery documents.
Prepare goods to be dispatched along with appropriate paperwork.
Receive work orders from supervisor and assist in locating goods in storage areas.
Sort out goods from delivered packages and make appropriate batches.
Ascertain that received goods are stored in their correct storage areas and in accordance to their item and batch numbers.
Take inventory of stored goods – count and record number of items received and sent out.
Prepare necessary documentation such as invoices and delivery orders and ensure that they are sent with all outgoing orders.
Pick and Pack orders according to company standards.
Restock returned goods in their designated storage areas and update inventory information accordingly.
Keep warehouse area clean and tidy.
Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Health and Safety Policy and BRC Procedures.
