Operations & Growth Coordinator (Part-Time)

Company: JALEX (Scotland) Ltd

Location: Remote (Scotland preferred)

Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours per week initially (flexible)

Employment Type: Part-time (PAYE or self-employed considered for the right candidate)

Salary: £16.00–£20.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills and the value you can bring to the business.

JALEX (Scotland) Ltd is a fast-growing property maintenance and refurbishment company working with hotels, commercial clients, property managers, developers and investors throughout Scotland. We carry out everything from reactive maintenance and insurance works to major refurbishments, compliance works and planned maintenance contracts.

As the business grows, so does the need for someone who enjoys organising, improving systems and helping a company operate more efficiently.

This role offers the opportunity to become a trusted member of the team with genuine scope to develop into a senior operations position as the business continues to expand.

About the Role

You'll work closely with the Director, supporting the day-to-day operation of the business while helping to improve systems, increase efficiency and support future growth.

Typical duties will include:

Preparing quotations from site notes.
Raising invoices and payment applications.
Managing Jobber CRM and company systems.
General bookkeeping administration and liaising with our accountant.
Payroll administration.
Ordering materials and coordinating suppliers.
Scheduling employees and subcontractors.
Managing customer enquiries, emails and follow-ups.
Supporting social media and marketing.
Assisting with tender submissions and business development opportunities.
Creating professional documents, reports and procedures.
Identifying opportunities to improve the way the business operates.

AI & Technology

We're particularly interested in candidates who already use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or similar as part of their everyday work.

We see AI as an important part of the future of our business, and we'd like someone who enjoys using technology to:

Draft professional emails, quotations and reports.
Improve systems and workflows.
Reduce repetitive administration.
Organise information more effectively.
Support marketing and content creation.
Help the business become more efficient.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Experience within construction, maintenance or property would be beneficial but is not essential.
