Job Summary

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Health Care Assistant, where your compassionate nature and proactive approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support. In this vital role, you will assist individuals in their daily routines, promote independence, and ensure they receive high-quality care tailored to their unique needs. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a warm, safe, and supportive environment for all residents or clients.

Duties

Provide personal care to residents or clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans to meet individual health and wellbeing goals.
Assist with medication management under supervision, ensuring timely and accurate administration.
Maintain clear communication with team members, residents, and family members to ensure consistent and effective care delivery.
Support residents with activities of daily living and encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
Document all care activities accurately using IT systems and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Drive or accompany clients on home care visits or outings as needed, ensuring safety at all times.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
Ability to operate IT systems for documentation and care planning purposes efficiently.
Valid driving license and experience in driving are preferred for home care roles involving transportation.
Experience working in a care home environment or providing home care services is highly desirable.
Knowledge of creating and following care plans to deliver consistent, personalized support.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude that fosters trust and comfort.
Good understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to healthcare settings.
