About the position

GEA Refrigeration (UK) Limited, is a market leader in industrial heating and refrigeration technologies for the Cold Storage, Process, Food, Beverage, HVAC and District Heating markets. We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our sales team within the Heating and Refrigeration Compression Technologies sales division. Our Compression Technologies division manufacture industrial refrigeration compressors, packages, chiller, heat pumps and service solution products. All our products are market leaders in energy efficiency and use environmentally friendly natural refrigerants. You will be responsible for developing sales with both existing third-party contractor and consultant customers and identifying new opportunities to develop business growth. You can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK or work from home.

Your responsibilities and tasks

Build and maintain effective customer relationships across our nationwide customer base.
Develop and nurture strong business relationships with executive decision-makers.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive sales growth.
Engage with clients to understand and technically evaluate their requirements.
Prepare technically and commercially robust proposals, monitoring their progress through to completion.
Deliver technical presentations to customers and stakeholders.
Maintain accurate entry, administration and reporting of all leads and opportunities within our CRM system.
Travel throughout the South of the UK as required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.
Effectively manage your own diary, scheduling and attending customer appointments.
Work closely with the Compression Technologies team to identify opportunities and support business growth.
Collaborate with our European Technology Centres in Germany and the Netherlands.
Travel to our European Technology Centres in Germany and the Netherlands when required.

Your profile and qualifications

A minimum of five years' field sales experience selling technical or engineered products.
Essential experience within the refrigeration or HVAC industry.
Experience selling chillers and heat pumps would be advantageous.
Excellent sales, negotiation and influencing skills.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain customer-focused partnerships.
A professional and positive approach.
Self-motivated, with initiative and enthusiasm.
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively and remain calm under pressure.
Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Good IT skills, including budget management and report writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
A full UK driving licence.
