Overview
We are seeking for a time served PCV/HGV Mechanic to join our team here at Marbill Coaches. The ideal candidate will possess skill and experience with heavy vehicles and demonstrate the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations, contributing to the overall success of our organisation.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Adhere to health & safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
50 hours p/week with Optional overtime

Qualifications

Proven experience as a HGV/PCV Mechanic or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and automotive repair techniques.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
A valid driving licence is required .
Electrical Knowledge would be advantageous but not mandatory.
Any further Qualifications that are relevant to the job will also be advantageous.
