Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Youth Worker (minimum Level 2) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting and empowering young individuals, helping them navigate challenges and develop essential life skills. This position requires a commitment to fostering a positive environment where youth can thrive, learn, and grow.

Duties

Provide mentorship and guidance to young people, encouraging personal development and self-esteem.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of the youth.
Facilitate group activities that promote teamwork, communication, and social skills.
Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for each individual.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of youth participants, adjusting programmes as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress reports for each young person.
Assist in creating a safe and inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes positive relationships.

Skills

Strong background in mentoring and youth work, with a passion for supporting young individuals.
Experience in special education or working with children who have additional needs is highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with young people from various backgrounds.
Ability to educate and inspire youth through creative programming and activities.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and programme development.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution within group settings.

Training will be provided. Qualifications for higher levels will be supported and financed for the right candidates.
