Job introduction

Clinical Deputy Manager - Benson House, Wallingford - Up to £55,000 per annum + Benefits

70 Bedded Nursing, Dementia and Residential Care Home
40 hours per week
50/50 Clinical and Supernumerary split
Clinical hours - 8am till 8pm
Supernumerary hours - 8am till 4pm
Occasional night and weekend visits
Rotational out of hours on-call, shared with home manager

Responsibilities

Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursing home.
Demonstrates a hands-on leadership approach, leading by example and working alongside the nursing team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Ensure the highest standards of care are maintained, meeting regulatory and company standards.
Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
Lead, mentor, and support nursing and care staff to deliver exceptional care.
Conduct regular assessments and audits to maintain and improve care standards.
Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external healthcare professionals in the absence of the Home Manager.

Ideal Candidate

Qualified Nurse with a valid NMC Pin.
Demonstrates a hands-on leadership approach with the ability to work alongside the clinical and care team on the floor.
Proven experience in a clinical leadership role, eg. Clinical Lead, Unit Manager and Senior Nurse
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for providing personalised, high-quality care.
