IT Support Engineer (Regional Onsite Support – Orkney/North Scotland)

DBaaS Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support in Orkney and surrounding regions. The role is critical to meeting our 3-hour emergency response SLA for high-priority incidents.

Key responsibilities include:

Attend onsite within agreed SLA (3 hours) for critical incidents
Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and system issues
Provide hands-on support for servers, desktops, laptops, and network devices
Perform installation, maintenance, and replacement of IT equipment
Support VoIP systems and basic network troubleshooting
Work closely with remote helpdesk and engineering teams
Maintain clear documentation and incident reports
Support routine maintenance and health checks when required

Candidate requirements:

Proven experience in IT support (2+ years preferred)
Strong knowledge of Windows systems, networking basics, and hardware troubleshooting
Ability to work independently and respond quickly to urgent issues
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Good communication and problem-solving skills

Location: Orkney / North Scotland (Regional Coverage)

Job Type: Contract / Part-Time (On-call with emergency response requirement)
