Full job description

Are you a stock expert who thrives on accuracy, control, and data integrity? Do you enjoy leading teams while managing complex inventory across multiple systems? Ready to take ownership of stock performance in a fast-paced, multi-customer operation?

Here at GXO, we’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused Inventory Manager to join our Rotherham multi-user site. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and visibility of stock across the operation, while leading a team responsible for maintaining efficient stock control processes.

This role offers the chance to work closely with both internal teams and customers, driving improvements and ensuring best-in-class inventory management.

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Oversee end-to-end stock management, from receipt through to dispatch
Lead and develop the Stock team, ensuring high performance and engagement
Maintain and improve stock accuracy, reporting, and audit compliance (SOX/PWC)
Manage cycle counting, stock audits, and inventory control processes
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient stock flow and operational support

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Proven experience in a stock/inventory management role within a warehousing environment
Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to analyse data and produce accurate reports
Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team development and continuous improvement
