Full job description

Part-Time Kitchen Staff ( up to 24 hours )
We are looking for part-time kitchen staff to join our team, with shifts scheduled between 02:00 and 23:00.

8-10 hour shifts
All training and uniform provided
£1 per hour premium for all hours worked between 00:00 and 05:59
Please check transport links carefully before applying, as some shifts may start as early as 02:00

Due to the working hours, this position is not suitable for applicants under 18

Requirements

All applicants must:
Have the right to work in the UK
Hold a valid photographic ID
Be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and/or education history

The role

At a glance, your role is to work as part of a team to prepare and cook food and to help to keep the kitchen running smoothly, all while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and customer service.

Our pubs open early and close late, so we offer great flexibility with shift patterns, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

Duties include:

preparing, cooking and presenting food to the correct spec
operating kitchen work stations, including grills, fryers, microwaves and more
working as a team to keep to time and quality targets
following food hygiene and allergen, as well as health and safety, standards
cleaning as you go, including full kitchen clean-downs
rotating stock and storing food safely
completing required induction, role-specific and ongoing refresher training and contributing to continuous improvement

Progression and development

Most Wetherspoon team leaders and managers started in the kitchen or behind the bar.
