Breakfast & Lunch Chef

The White Hart Inn, Moorwood Moor
£14.50–£15.50 per hour, depending on experience
Tuesday to Saturday, 6:30am–3:30pm

We’re looking for an experienced Breakfast & Lunch Chef to join the kitchen team at The White Hart Inn, a busy country inn, hotel and award-winning wedding venue in Moorwood Moor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a chef seeking consistent daytime hours and a fixed five-day working week. Alongside preparing our freshly cooked breakfasts and daytime dishes, you’ll play an important role in pastry production and preparing food for weddings, functions and other events.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and cooking high-quality breakfasts for hotel guests
Supporting lunch service and the preparation of our freshly made menu
Producing desserts, cakes, pastries and other sweet items
Preparing food for weddings, functions and large events
Completing advance preparation for the wider kitchen team
Maintaining consistently high standards of presentation and portion control
Following food-safety, allergen and hygiene procedures
Keeping your section organised, clean and properly stocked
Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and reducing food waste
Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team

About you

The successful applicant must:

Have previous experience working in a professional kitchen
Be confident cooking and managing a busy breakfast service
Have good pastry and dessert-making skills
Have experience preparing food for functions, weddings or larger events
Be organised, reliable and able to manage their own workload
Take pride in producing fresh, well-presented food
Work calmly and efficiently during busy services
Have a positive attitude and work well as part of a team
Understand food hygiene, allergens and kitchen safety procedures

Due to our countryside location, applicants should live locally or have reliable transport.

What we offer

Pay of £14.50–£15.50 per hour, depending on experience
A permanent, full-time position
A fixed Tuesday-to-Saturday working pattern
Consistent daytime hours of 6:30am–3:30pm
Sundays and Mondays off
