Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team at The Waterside Bistro in Totnes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, ensuring a pleasant environment for both staff and customers. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning duties in designated areas, including restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
Ensure all surfaces are cleaned, dusted, and sanitised according to established protocols.
Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and request replenishments as needed.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure satisfaction with cleaning services.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive attitude towards work and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Flexibility in working hours may be required based on operational needs.
DBS Checks will be required.
