Location: Cricklade House Hotel and Spa , Common Hill SN6 6HA

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and talented Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade at Cricklade House Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for running a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a busy hotel, restaurant, wedding, and events environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen during service.
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the hotel's quality standards.
Ensure all food is prepared using fresh ingredients and correct cooking techniques.
Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation.
Assist with menu development and seasonal specials.
Support and mentor Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to senior chefs.
Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, allergen regulations, and health & safety procedures.
Work effectively under pressure during busy service periods, including weddings, conferences, and events.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
Excellent knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Ability to work confidently across different kitchen sections.
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Passion for fresh, seasonal produce and high-quality food.
Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable Qualifications

NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
Food Safety Level 2 Certificate.
Experience within a hotel, spa, wedding, or banqueting operation.
