Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and residents. This role requires a strong focus on customer service and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Shift patterns:

Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Sat & Sun 8am till 2pm.

Week 2 - Weds, Thurs, Fri 8am till 2pm.

Monthly Contracted hours-84 Hours

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, communal areas, and facilities, adhering to established standards.
Ensure all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies and amenities.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels.
Maintain a high level of customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly manner.
Follow health and safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations within the establishment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping within a care home environment is preferred but not essential.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with residents, relatives and colleagues.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic cooking skills would be an advantage but are not mandatory.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
