The Role

Salary dependant on experience and qualifications - a working knowledge of accounts procedures is essential.

We are looking for a proficient Accounts & Payroll Clerk to join our finance team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll will be essential. You'll play a key part in ensuring our accounts are accurate, our payroll runs smoothly, and our financial processes remain compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Complete bank reconciliations and cash clow charts.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and other HMRC submissions.
Manage accounts payable functions, including processing invoices and reconciling payments
Process month-end procedures, including producing Profit & Loss reports efficiently
Process the monthly payroll and maintain employee records.
Post monthly journals and maintain accurate financial records.

What We're Looking For

Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll (essential).
Solid understanding of VAT submissions and HMRC requirements.
Experience in payroll processing and month-end reporting.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
A knowledge of HR is preferable but not essential.
