Location: Birkdale Southport

Term time only 36 working weeks

Overview
Join our vibrant catering team as a Catering Assistant and be at the heart of creating memorable school dining experience. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring smooth school catering operation. If you thrive in fast-paced settings and have a passion for food, this position is perfect for you to showcase your skills and grow within the food industry.

Responsibilities

Support food preparation activities, including assembling dishes, cleaning duties, serving children
Assist with setting up and closing service, including arranging tables, and serving equipment
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling and service
Handle dietary requests and special accommodations with attention to detail and sensitivity
Monitor the cleanliness of service areas, including clearing tables, washing dishes, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of catering services and seamless event execution

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Experience serving food in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety protocols within the food industry
Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is desirable
