Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing high-quality conveyor systems and products. Strong attention to precision and efficiency utilising CAD software and engineering principles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in Design to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Develop detailed designs and specifications for conveyor systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Autocad
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within existing systems and propose effective solutions.
Produce models/drawings to meet customer requirements, while adhering to any relevant standards.
Producing any manuals or documentation required.
Obtaining quotes and ordering of all required parts needed within required time scales.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet project requirements.
Support the realisation of projects from concept through prototyping to final implementation, ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks and CAD drafting techniques at least 4 years experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, system design.
Ability to capture and specify the design requirements.
Identify solutions to improve production efficiency.
Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively within conveyor systems.
Conveyor knowledge relevant to product development or industrial applications is highly desirable.
Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
Improve existing products and processes.
Driving Licence.

Skills and Attributes

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong PC Skills
To work as part of a team or under your own initiative
Good time keeping
Able to work under pressure with time sensitive projects.
Good communication written and spoken
Good problem solving skills
Attention to detail is key

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
