Full job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their culinary skills and build a successful career in hospitality.

Daytime work, 40 hours per week over 5 days, including one weekend day.

Working alongside experienced chefs, you will assist with food preparation, maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes and standards.
Support senior chefs in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Prepare ingredients and ensure mise en place is completed efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment.
Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures at all times.
Assist with stock rotation and storage of deliveries.
Help ensure dishes are presented to a high standard.
Work collaboratively with colleagues during busy service periods.

What We're Looking For

Previous kitchen experience is desirable.
A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
Food Hygiene Certificate, minimum Level 2.
Ability to communicate efficiently.
