Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within a busy clinical environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated nursing professional to utilise their skills in a supportive setting, contributing to the wellbeing of our patients and the efficiency of our practice.

Duties

Providing comprehensive patient care, including health assessments, wound management, and health education
Administering medications and injections accurately and safely in accordance with prescribed protocols
Assisting with minor procedures and clinical examinations
Monitoring patient vital signs and recording medical histories
Supporting GPs with administrative tasks such as updating patient records and managing appointments
Offering health advice and promoting preventative care strategies to patients
Ensuring infection control procedures are strictly followed within the practice
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards

Experience in - chronic disease management, immunisations, vaccinations, minor wounds, complex wounds, leg ulcers, smears, ECG’s, blood samples etc.

Experience

Proven experience working as a Practice Nurse or in a similar primary care setting
Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
Demonstrated competence in medication administration and patient care procedures
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients of all ages
Relevant nursing qualifications recognised within the UK, such as NMC registration

This role is ideal for a proactive nurse committed to delivering exceptional patient care within a collaborative team. We value professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for healthcare.

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
