Full job description

Lead the marketing team at a fourth-generation family manufacturer, and build the digital strategy that takes our brands further.

We are A. Perry Ltd, founded in 1925 and still based in Cradley Heath. We manufacture and supply agricultural, fencing, builders' hardware, fixings, equestrian and garden products to merchants and retailers across the UK, with a growing export business. Real products, several distinct brands, and a hundred years of story to work with.

The role

Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will lead our in-house team and own delivery of the marketing plan across all divisions.

You will line-manage our Graphic Designer and Digital Marketer, turning agreed commercial priorities into campaigns and making sure they land. Alongside that, two areas are yours to build: a genuine digital strategy covering SEO, AI search visibility and website optimisation, and creative leadership across our campaigns and social channels.

This is a hands-on role. You will direct the team, and you will also produce work yourself.

What you will own

Multi-channel campaigns across email, social, web, print and trade media
Our digital strategy, including SEO, content planning and paid performance
Growth in trade enquiries and stockist leads
Development of a small, capable team
Pre-show marketing for our trade show programme
Brand consistency across every division, including the annual catalogue

What we are looking for

Five or more years in marketing, with a strong digital focus
Real SEO and website optimisation capability, not just familiarity
A track record of delivering campaigns end to end
Experience managing, mentoring or directing others
Original ideas, and the drive to see them through
Confident use of AI tools in day to day work
Full driving licence

B2B or trade sector experience, Shopify, Adobe Creative Suite and trade show delivery are all useful, but none are essential.

The practical bits

Office based in Cradley Heath, 40 hours per week with a half day on Fridays. Company pension, additional leave, life insurance, sick pay, employee discount, health and wellbeing programme.

We are advertising at two levels. If your experience sits below Marketing Manager, we may appoint at Senior Marketing Executive, with title and salary set accordingly. Apply either way.
