Job Summary

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Health Care Assistant, where your compassionate nature and proactive attitude will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
Support the implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences
Maintain clear and respectful communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Document observations, care activities, and any changes in health status accurately using IT systems
Monitor health conditions and report any concerns promptly to senior staff or healthcare providers
Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and confidentiality at all times

Requirements

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand care plans and document accurately
Basic IT skills for recording information electronically and updating care records
Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or bank holidays as needed
A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
