Job Title:

Business Development Manager

Reporting to:

Director of Digital Forensics

Homebased with occasional travel to client sites & Company HQ

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager with a strong background in Digital Forensics practice.
In this role, you will play a key part in advancing CCL’s position in the public sector.
Collaborating closely with key decision makers, you will drive business development initiatives, strengthen client relationships, and identify opportunities to enhance market presence and achieve growth.

Main Duties & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned

Educate prospective customers in their initial interactions with CCL, making a great first impression and laying the foundation for long-term relationships.
Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and qualify potential customers through phone calls, emails, social media, and other creative methods.
Visit public sector organisations to identify current challenges, develop partnership relationships and identify opportunities for CCL to support customer challenges.
Research and identify key decision-makers within target accounts, coordinating with your assigned sales team.
Design and execute comprehensive business development and marketing strategies to support growth in both the private and public sectors.
Lead the preparation and delivery of pitches, proposals, and presentations, ensuring messaging is tailored and impactful for potential clients.
Identify relevant client issues and market trends, proposing topics for campaigns and fostering meaningful client dialogues.
Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities and manage leads in our CRM system.
Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and maximise opportunities.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and our product offerings to effectively communicate value propositions to prospects.
Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly targets

Required Skill Set & Experience:

Substantial experience in Digital Forensics
A competitive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets.
A tenacious individual who isn’t afraid to take initiative and handle rejection.
Proven track record in solving Public Sector challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage prospects.
Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Experience with account planning and persona mapping.
Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools.
A team player with a collaborative approach and a willingness to support colleagues.
An interest in digital forensics and a passion for relationship building and collaboration.
Ability to present confidently at all levels.
Proven track record of personal development to achieve personal and organisational objectives.

Education:

Minimum GCSE pass or equivalent in Maths and English

Using CRM and lead generation software effectively

Other Role Requirements:

Minimum 5 years UK residency
Satisfactorily pass pre-hire and annual security clearance procedures in accordance with the ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) National Vetting Scheme.
