Room Leader Level 3 (Full-Time)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our friendly and supportive team. If you have experience leading a room in a nursery or similar setting, strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, and a genuine passion for early years development, we'd love to hear from you!

About the Role

As a Room Leader, you will take the lead in providing high-quality care and education within your room, supporting your team to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that promotes every child's development.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the daily running of your room, ensuring high standards of care (physical, emotional, social, and intellectual)
Support and promote safeguarding and child welfare at all times
Plan, deliver, and oversee engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
Act as a key person for a group of children while supporting other staff in their key person role
Monitor, assess, and record children's development, ensuring accurate tracking across the room
Mentor, guide, and support room staff, including students and less experienced practitioners
Build strong relationships with parents and carers, acting as a first point of contact for room-related queries
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
Liaise with management on room performance, staffing, and development needs
Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent childcare

What We're Looking For

Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
Proven experience working in a nursery or similar childcare setting, ideally in a senior or leading role
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
Passion for early childhood development and team leadership
Proactive, reliable, and a good timekeeper
Creative, fun, and energetic approach
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills

Additional Information

Full enhanced DBS check and references are required
Duties may include supporting daily routines such as meal prep, cleaning, and personal care (including nappy changing)
