Build Your Success with FuturePro Global Forwarding

FuturePro Global Forwarding is expanding and is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Sales Manager to help drive the continued growth of our international freight forwarding business.

We are seeking a freight forwarding professional with a proven track record of winning new business and driving commercial growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven individual to take ownership of the new sales function within a growing organisation. The successful candidate will be confident in identifying new opportunities, opening doors, building strong customer relationships, and converting prospects into long-term clients through a consultative approach.

About the Role

Working alongside a small operational team, you will identify and secure new business across our international Air Freight & Sea Freight services.

You will be responsible for developing your own pipeline, managing customer relationships and delivering profitable growth.

This is a largely office-based role at our headquarters in Thatcham, Berkshire (RG19 4ZA). Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance. The role will also involve travel to customer meetings and industry events as required.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across our international freight forwarding services.
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, taking opportunities from initial prospecting through to successful conversion.
Develop long-term relationships with importers, exporters and key supply chain decision-makers.
Prepare competitive quotations and present commercial proposals that meet customer requirements.
Work closely with our operations team to ensure a smooth transition from sale to implementation and customer onboarding.
Achieve agreed sales, gross profit and business development targets.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity and pipeline forecasts within the CRM system.
Represent FuturePro Global Forwarding at customer meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.
Promote the business professionally, maintaining high standards of customer service and commercial integrity.

About You

You will be an experienced Sales Manager with a track record in international freight forwarding sales. Commercially minded and self-motivated, you will enjoy identifying opportunities, building strong customer relationships and delivering profitable growth.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in a business development or sales role within the freight forwarding industry.
Demonstrable success in securing new business across international freight forwarding services.
Strong understanding of Air Freight, Sea Freight, European Road Freight & Customs Clearance.
Experience of preparing commercial quotations and negotiating profitable sales.
Ideally with a working knowledge of Multifreight software.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
A proactive, organised and results-oriented approach.
Full UK driving licence.
