Role Overview

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining web solutions that meet client requirements. You will work on both front-end and back-end development, leveraging your expertise in PHP and WordPress alongside modern frameworks and technologies. Your contributions will help drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development: Build, optimise, and maintain robust web applications and websites using PHP, WordPress, and related technologies.
Front-End Development: Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue.js.
Back-End Development: Develop scalable server-side logic and APIs, ensuring seamless integrations with third-party systems.
WordPress Expertise: Develop plugins, and core functionalities to meet unique project requirements, integrating with API’s and other systems.
Code Review: Ensure the quality, consistency, and security of code by reviewing and testing contributions from other developers.
Team Leadership: Mentor junior developers, provide guidance, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the team.
Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their vision and translate it into technical solutions that exceed expectations.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of hands-on UK experience in full stack development
Strong proficiency with PHP (Laravel and wordpress) and Python
Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience building and consuming REST APIs
Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js
DevOps experience managing live services
Solid understanding of Linux server administration and cloud hosting
Comfortable with databases and writing SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
Ability to manage multiple projects and balance priorities
A pragmatic can-do mindset with a passion for quality, security, and performance
Must be based in Northeast of England

Bonus Points For:

Experience with Metabase, Highcharts, or data visualisation tools
Drupal
Familiarity with managing backups, SSL, and performance monitoring
Interest in AI tooling and workflow automation
Knowledge of cloud services like Digital Ocean, AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
